New PDIs on Yukon Community Pilot and Vulnerable Workers

On June 22, IRCC published a notice of a new PDI, and updates to two existing PDIs. The notice is “Yukon Community Pilot (YCP)“. It states briefly:

New instructions have been created for the work permit component of the Yukon Community Pilot (YCP). This is a federal–territorial permanent resident stream under the Provincial/Territorial Nominee Program that also offers an open work permit to eligible applicants. The pilot program came into effect in January, 2020.

Instructions have also been updated to reflect the particulars of this new Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream.

The new PDI is “International Mobility Program: Yukon Community Pilot (YCP) – Open work permits (LMIA exemption code A75)“, and the updated PDIs are “Economic classes: Procedures at the Centralized Intake Office for paper-based (non-Express Entry) applications” and “Processing Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applications: Determining membership in the class“.

On June 25, IRCC published a program delivery update on “Vulnerable workers“. The updated PDI is “Open work permits for vulnerable workers“, and the update was principally “to add guidance on abuse specific to the context of COVID-19”.
