Join JRILN host Rebecca Lockwood for a discussion with Julia Viskov, a Toronto-based psychotherapist, about how to cope with trauma and tragedy – our clients’ and our own – in practice.
The discussion will be based on real questions and scenarios submitted by JRILN members. Julia supports a variety of clients in her practice, including many lawyers and law students.
Previously, Julia worked as an embedded mental health counsellor at Osgoode Hall Law School, trained legal volunteers at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, and volunteered as a crisis counsellor at the Toronto Distress Centre. She holds a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy with a specialization in Community Development from the University of Toronto. Twice an immigrant and descendent of refugees, Julia is particularly interested in trauma work and identity concerns as related to international migration.
