New website: searchable Ontario walk-in clinic database for uninsured patients

In March 2020, the Ontario government expanded health care coverage to uninsured patients, including hospital and outpatient physician care. The Healthcare Access Ontario website connects people without health insurance to walk-in clinics that provide care without charging fees. The website has 2 primary features:

1. Search tool: allows you to find clinics closest to your address:
http://healthcareaccessontario.herokuapp.com/Please note that the clinics displayed were contacted by a team of volunteer medical students, research students, and healthcare providers but may be subject to change. Please call clinics first to confirm hours and services.

2. Add a clinic: health care providers using new billing codes for uninsured patients can post their clinic information to the website using an embedded form. We welcome feedback to continuously improve this tool– please fill out the feedback form on the website with your suggestions.
We hope this website helps to improve access to health care for all in Ontario!
